Thangka
painting is a uniquely Tibetan tradition that evolved
between the 7th and 12th centuries. Painted on canvas
and mounted in silk brocade, a thangka is more than just
a work of art. It is an object of devotion, an aid to
spiritual practice, and a source of blessings.
Thangka painting involves mastery of many demanding
techniques: mastery in sketching the illustrations and
numerous deities according to formal iconography rules
laid down by generations of Tibetan masters..... |

Consecration
is a ceremonial process where we take your ordered thangka
to one of the monasteries in our network for blessings
by Rinpoche Lama. Once consecrated the thangka is
considered as living Goddess and ready to be hung and
venerated as a genuine living embodiment of enlightened
mind.
We have created special section where you can request
for Consecration of your thangka purchased with us along
with choice of your brocade from our collection. |
