Title : Amitabha
Descriptions:
Amitabha with Amoghshiddhi on Top left,Vairochana top right ,Ratna sambhava at the bottom left, Akshobhya bottom right and eight Bodhisatwa , Amoghshiddhi,he represnts cosmic lelement of the samskar (Conformation).He is of green color and his recognition symbol is the viswa vajra or the double thunderbolt.He always faces the north.He is the emboident of the rainy seasons.Sometimes a serpent with the seven heads forms the background as an umbrella.In front of his shrines,therefore is found a samll square pit which is meant for the snake.His vehicle is garud.Vairochana his place is in the sanctum of the stupa where he is the master of the whole temple and its content.Therefore, he cannot be represented outside the stupa,but exception to this rule is frequently met within the important stupa of Nepal where he is assigned a place between Akshobhya in east and Ratna Sambhav in the south.Vairochana represnts the cosmic element of Rupa(form),when represented, he is white in color and his hands are held against the chess with the tips of the thumbs and fore fingers of each hand united.His female is Vajradhaviswari.He is in preaching attitude.Ratna Sambhav his recongition symbol is the jewel and he exhibits the Varda mudra(gift bestwoing).He represents the cosmic element os vedana (sensation) ans is the emboident of slander.He is yellow is color and always face the south.His left hand rests on the lap with open palm and right exhibits the varda mudra or the gift bestowing attitude.His female counter part is Mamaki.Akshobhya orginates from tthe blue syllable hum.He is two-armed and one-faced and exhibits the Bhusparsa ( earth touching) mudra which means calling the earth for witness, and sits in the Vajraparyanka pose.He represents the primordal cosmic element of Vijnana(consciousness).When represented in the stupa, he always faces the east.Bodhisatwa ,avalkiteswara is famous as as Bodhisatwa emanating from the Dhyani Buddha,Amitabha and his consort Pandora.He is said to be the Bodhisatwa who rules during the period between the disappearance of the mortal buddha,Sakyashimha and the advent of the future Buddha Maitreya.
